Welcome Back to the Party

Finally after four years Bloc Party is back!

Great Song!

This song is a ton of fun. It's definitely closer in sound to Silent Alarm than Intimacy. Bloc Party is back!

Bloc Party's done it again!

If the rest of Four sounds like Octopus, it'll be one of the best Bloc Party albums yet. I didn't mind the band's turn towards electronica, but this single is closer to Silent Alarm, which many fans will appreciate. I love Russell's edgy, machine-gun guitar riff, I love the catchy, call-and-repsonse chorus, and Kele's voice is right on target in this one.

Equally inspired by Sonic Youth, Joy Division, Gang of Four, and the Cure, East London art punkers Bloc Party mix angular sonics with pop structures. Consisting of singer/guitarist Kele Okereke, guitarist Russell Lissack, bassist/singer Gordon Moakes, and drummer Matt Tong, the band was formerly known as Angel Range and Union before settling on Bloc Party. Okereke and Lissack met each other through mutual friends at the Reading Festival, and discovered that they had musical tastes as well as friends...
