Thank Me Later - Drake

I would rate this album individually, but I see no point when the whole album is a masterpiece. Every single individual song is worth every single cent. Drake is amazing. His raps can't be touched, and his smooth voice flows well when he sings. Let me tell you my favorite songs, the whole album. And that's not a lie, I wanted to grade Drake as tough as I could, but I couldn't. Drake is hands down the best rapper out there right now next to Eminem. Drake said let this album be the soundtrack to your summer and he was right. So play the whole album back to back, you won't be disappointed.

AMAZING!!

Okay, first off, this album is worth the buy. Purchase the whole thing. But here is a track by track review for those of you who don't like to purchase entire albums:

Fireworks (10/10): This is an amazing track. I almost see this as a summer anthem in a way. Alicia Keys's hook is great. This track showcases Drake's rapping at its best.

Karaoke (8/10): Drake can actually sing but I don't think this is his singing at its best. The lyrics aren't the best but the beat is good. Still a good track.

The Resistance (9/10): Great track. Drake shows that he won't be leaving the rap game for a while. But the lyrics are kind of boring. Drake rapping about girls again... like we haven't heard that. But the hook is amazing!

Over (10/10): The first single of the album, I fell in love with Drake because of this track. Like Fireworks, this is Drake's rapping at its best. A great beat from Boi-1da and amazing lyrics from Drake equals a star track.

Show Me A Good Time (7.5/10): The lyrics are fine (not great) but the beat is SO annoying. Another one of those girl tracks. Good track but not great.

Up All Night (9.5/10): Beat is good, Drake is amazing on it, Nicki Manaj is actually okay. But there seems to be something missing that I can't exactly put my finger on. Maybe the hook isn't that great. But still an amazing track!

Fancy (9.5/10): The hook is a little annoying but all of the performers in this tracks spit fire. The track is a bit long but it is great regardless.

Shut It Down (8/10): This track is a bit too slow for this album. It seems out of place. It is much longer that any other track. But it is okay.

Unforgettable (9/10): Wow. Not a ten out of ten but the rapping is great. The beat is great. Kinda has an eerie tone to it. Good track

Light Up (11/10): I LOVE this track. The instant I saw Jay-Z was on this track, I knew this would be an amazing track. And it didn't disappoint. This is the best track on the album for me. This track reminds me of the early Jay-Z days. I almost see this as a mentoring track, Jay-Z giving tips to Drake. The hook is AMAZING here. Both rappers spit lava here. Beast beat, amazing hook and great rapping makes this the best track.

Miss Me (9/10): Third single. Both verses are long and the last minute seems out of place. But the hook is good and Lil Wayne actually raps pretty well on this track. Both verses are good. Well done track

Cece's Interlude (8.5/10): Beat is a bit weird and Drake sounds auto tuned a little bit. But it is a good track nonetheless. Good lyrics but beware, another girl track

Find Your Love (9.5/10): Second single. Good lyrics, pretty well done beat and production by Kanye West and great singing by Drake. My only beef with this song is that it sounds like a left over track from 808s & Heartbreak. But Drake pulls off the track so well I can look past it.

Thank Me Now (10/10): Great beat and production by Timbaland plus amazing lyrics and rapping by Drake make this an amazing closing to Drake's debut album

Star tracks:
1. Light Up
2. Fireworks
3. Over
4. Thank Me Now
5. Up All Night

This is an amazing album as a whole. 5 stars hands down. With a few holes here and there, this album is still solid and worth the buy.
