iTunes Editors’ Notes

From whimsical folk to baroque punk rock, Panic! At the Disco is remarkably comfortable reinventing its sound from album to album. Even so, the Las Vegas band's fourth long-player (Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!) represents the greatest departure from the band's alt-rock foundation. Influenced by Las Vegas' blistering pace and neon-lit nightlife, Too Weird spills over with synths, crunchy electric drums, and the powerful voice of frontman Brendon Urie. The result is equally fitting for a dance club and a rock show. The album's finale, "The End of All Things," is an unadorned piano ballad in which Urie's digitally altered voice washes over the track singing, "In these coming years, many things will change." Despite the somber tone, it's an exciting declaration for fans of the ever-evolving band.

Some people are saying that their new singles don't have Panic!'s "sound", but since when has Panic! had a distinct sound? Is Pretty. Odd. and A Fever You Can't Sweat Out the same "sound"? No. So you can't expect this album to sound the same as the others. That's not what this band is about.

Perfect

Love this band to death

The band had materialized several years earlier, when friends Spencer Smith (drums) and Ryan Ross (guitar) began covering blink-182 tunes together. After tiring of playing another group's material, they recruited two additional classmates, guitar/vocalist Brendon Urie and bassist Brent Wilson, and the newly...
