Album Review

Buddha's Under the Milky Way: The Best of the Church is a terrific, comprehensive anthology, tracing their career from their 1981 debut, Of Skin and Heart, to 1994's Sometime Anywhere. Some hardcore fans may notice some personal favorites missing, but all their best-known songs — "The Unguarded Moment," "Tear It All Away," "Month of Sundays," "Myrrh," "Under the Milky Way," "Reptile," "Metropolis," "Ripple" — are here, along with an excellent, representative sampling of album tracks. It's an ideal record for casual fans, along with being a great introduction for the curious and neophytes.

Gosh!!

This is the heart and soul of the 80"s. This brought the culture and style to the 80"s. Simply amazing, it is worth buying the whole album.

Best of the '80s

Back in the day, I thought of these guys as the Australian R.E.M. They continue to mesmerize, but this documents them in their cultural heyday.

Such nostalgia - Just an awesome band.

These are all great songs, but how could there be a Best of Album that leaves out Antenna and Spark???????
