Finally a Martin Garrix song that I actually like...
Martin Garrix has become one of the most popular young DJs on the scene. With his collaborations on tracks such as "Gold Skies" and "Wizard," and the song that sprung him onto the scene "Animals." While songs such as "Tremor," were fun and full of energy; I was never overly impressed with his production. Most of the stuff he was putting out was typical big room rubbish. However, I must say I am highly impressed with "Virus (How About Now)." While the melody synth is very reminsicent of "Mammoth" by Dimitri Vegas, Moguai, and Like Mike; the bass line is wonderful. For once I'm left after listening to a Martin Garrix production saying "Hmm, that was interesting." Congrats to Martin and Moti for stepping a little bit out of the realm of typical big room and creating something fresh. 4/5
P.S. The vocals are wonderful as well.
