Album Review

It should come as no surprise that a woman who counts Dionne Warwick as a cousin, Aretha Franklin as a family friend, and whose mother was a legendary session and gospel singer, became a successful R&B act. More surprising is that it took 17 years after her first signing with Arista to produce her first hits compilation. These songs are neatly compartmentalized into "Cool Down" and a "Throw Down" sessions, the former featuring ballads such as "Saving All My Love for You," the latter showcasing remixes of uptempo singles such as "How Will I Know." Four new songs, three of which are duets, are also included. At the time of release, her golden voice had led to an amazing 16 number one hits, an Emmy, Grammys, and several notable collaborations., Rovi

That voice….

I am just at a loss for words…there will never be another.

The Golden Voice!

Whitney had a golden voice. She made a difference and then was called back. We should all remember that with love and nothing else. I just heard a song that I dedicate to her called "Did You Make A Difference" by Buddy Mix. You can go listen to it here on itunes and be moved. It is a wonderful song that everyone should hear because it really makes you think about life. We love you Whitney and you will never be forgotten.

:(

Cant believe I didn't have these in my library.... sad that her death made me realize it. Great voice.

Houston was able to handle big adult contemporary ballads, effervescent, stylish dance-pop, and slick urban contemporary soul with equal...
