Bulk editor is a tool that helps to efficiently create and manage thousands of ad campaigns. Download a CSV file template, input the data for your campaigns, and upload the spreadsheet to the bulk editor to make all of your changes at once.
Note that the CSV file can only be downloaded in English, and the uploaded values must be in English as well; we cannot accept other languages at this time.
Create ads with Bulk Editor
From the bulk editor page, you’ll be able to export empty templates for new campaign creation.
-
Click Ads in the top left corner of Pinterest and select ‘Bulk Editor’ or go to ads.pinterest.com/bulk_editor.
-
Click Download sample sheet to download your template, which will serve as a model for how to set up your own sheet. You can now use customized templates such as unique campaign, Ad Group, ad and Keyword details to include fields that are necessary for the specific action you’re taking.
-
To create a new entity (campaign, ad group, or ad), add a new row in the sheet and select 'Create' as the desired action in column A - you can leave the object IDs blank, as these haven't been created yet.
-
Once complete, click Upload Template to upload your bulk editor sheet.
-
If you're creating ads, use the "Upload Media" section to upload the images or video for your ad creative.
-
Click Upload.
Edit existing ads with Bulk Editor
To use templates with data from existing campaigns, please navigate to your campaign’s reporting page in Ads Manager and export “Bulksheet for editing or duplicating”.
-
From the reporting page of ads manager, please ensure you export as “Bulk sheet for editing or duplicating”.
-
When filling out the sheet with changes to your existing entities, be sure to include "Edit" as the action in column A - we'll ignore any rows without an action in column A.
-
To create a new entity (campaign, ad group, or ad), add a new row in the sheet and include “Create” as the desired action in column A. Be sure to reference the parent ID in the bulk template you're editing and leave the other fields for that parent object blank.
-
Once complete, click Ads in the top left corner of Pinterest and select ‘Bulk Editor’ or go to ads.pinterest.com/bulk_editor.
-
Click Upload template to upload your bulk editor sheet.
-
If you're editing ads, use the "Upload Media" section to add the images for your ad creative. Additionally, if you are using photo-editing software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop) and you upload a file that contains document layers, please ensure that you export the image as a .jpg or .png before uploading it to our platform.
-
Click Upload.
Once the file is submitted for processing, press “Continue” and you’ll be led to the History of changes table to see if your upload was successful. If the status of the upload switches to “Succeeded”, your sheet was processed without any errors. If the status shows “Errors”, download the results and view the “Status” to see what changes need to be made. If the status shows “Failed”, click “See details” to see what changes need to be made. Make your changes and re-upload – we’ll ignore any rows without an “Action” designated (column A). Note that upload files are stored for 30 days, and download files for just 1 day.
