iTunes Review

Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" was lots of people's choice as the summer song of 2005. Its irresistible marching-band beat and insistent "B-A-N-A-N-A-S" refrain were the star's ultimate proof that the wider stylistic pool she fished in for Love, Angel, Music, Baby was among her smartest moves. Much of the music here expanded on the genre-jumping pop of No Doubt's Rock Steady - cranked-up hip-hop here, wistful New Wave-influenced pop there. Like Madonna, Stefani continues to make waves as not only a style star and major seller, but as a credible artist whose work happens to touch millions.

Customer Reviews

It's Worth $9.99!

This album is one of my favorites. Each song has another sound to it: -"What You Waiting For?" I love because of the fun beat and fun lyrics. -"Rich Girl" Is a GREAT remake of "If I were a rich man" from fiddler on the roof. Perfect song to remake. -"Hollaback Girl" is my favorite, despite the foul language. Whenever it comes on at a party, it brings the crowd to the dance floor! -"Cool" is one of those old-sounding songs that still seam to be in! It's fun and has good background music. -"Bubble Pop Electric" is one to dance to. -"Luxurious" may not be the funnest song, but Gwen's vocals sound great. -"Harajuku Girls" is one to listen to while doing something, like homework. PS- I think the Harajuku Girls are a cool thing. -"Crash" is a cool song because everything relates to driving -"The Real Thing" is a little taste of the older side of Gwen. -"Serious" seems like a good spin of a classical sound with a present beat. It is a fun song that I can't stop playing over and over again -"Danger Zone" actually reminds me of when Gwen was with No Dought. It is also a good song. -"Long Way to go" is a wierd song. It sounds like robots! Overall I thing this is a great album that YOU should buy. I think it's worth $9.99!

This Hottie Can Still Rock!

Gwen Stefani really knows how to lure and hook in her major audiences. From "Harajuku Girls" to "What You Waiting For" she shows off her authentic style. Stefani was great in No Doubt and will remain a Pop Legnd from here on. Gwen has become so popular that you cannot go anywhere without hearing someone humming "Cool" or yelling "Hollaback Girl". I also strongly suggest loking at her No Doubt Music on iTunes as well, which features many of their music videos you can purchase to keep for $1.95.

best pop album of the year

say what you will about gwen, but there's no doubt that this is the best, catchiest and most fun pop album of the year! 5 hit singles and still going strong.
