Editors’ Notes

Falling in step with T-Pain and Kanye West, The E.N.D. offers a vision of retro futurism in which the sparkling electronics and club beats of the 1980s are recast as the sound of the present. From the squirmy disco of “Rock That Body” and “Meet Me Halfway” to the New Wave revivalism of “I Gotta Feeling” and “Alive,” The E.N.D. is the most focused Black Eyed Peas album since their debut, Behind the Front. Daft Punk are an obvious touchstone, especially “Missing You” and “Rockin to the Beat,” although “Imma Be,” “Alive,” and “Electric City” are resolutely rap — Daft Punk as reimagined for Young Jeezy. Tracks like “Boom Boom Pow,” “Now Generation,” and “Ring-a-Ling” have the same unstoppable catchiness that made a sensation of Fergie’s breakout hit “My Humps.”

The E.N.D..... Rocks

Ok to start off, The Black Eyed Peas experimented with something really unusual and it worked great! The Hook that was Boom Boom Pow gave you a taste of what they are... Somewhere I read that Fergie said "We've always been kind of misfits, and so it kind of fits. The song is to the left, but it works, because we're being true to ourselves." Their theme is Futuristic and Electronic. Overall production was great and original. The Autotune FX was used accordingly and not overused like I have thought. Meet Me Halfway was one of the best in this Album (Pump It Harder in the Deluxe Version) in my opinion. This Album IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY SO NO HATE. Don't hate on the members nor say that this is crap. If you don't have the Set to review the way I did, keep it to yourself cuz they ain't helpful.

1 word...horrible

no talent...just catchy beats w/ simple lyrics...thats not music

I miss Monkey Business

A strong downhill from previous albums.

The Black Eyed Peas transcended hip-hop to become one of the most commercially successful pop groups of the 2000s. Their career began modestly, with a pair of albums inspired by the positive-minded likes of A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul. After adding Fergie, the group's pop instincts reached full flight. Ignited by the Top Ten hit "Where Is the Love?" and the Grammy-winning party anthem "Let's Get It Started," the group scored three multi-platinum albums in 2003's Elephunk, 2005's Monkey Business,...
