Sean Paul isn’t the first dancehall reggae artist to infiltrate pop and hip-hop, but he’s the only one to reach a level of ubiquity that makes him one of his era’s biggest U.S. names. Dutty Rock, his second album, is the onw that put him over. Hard beat-knocking tracks such as “Get Busy” and “Like Glue,” along with the relatively calmer “Ganja Breed,” portray the toaster as an everywhere-at-once nightlife denizen, keeping both eyes on the booty even as he sparks up with his fellow hardmen. He’s not scared of decelerating for lilting sweet-talkers like “I’m Still in Love With You,” a duet with Sasha that gave his softer edges a radio hearing. Paul’s insistent flow, along with his many producers’ ear-grabbing variations on the basic rhythms, make Dutty Rock both emblematic of and unique in its cultural moment.

i have rules....
i have rules. anything that you hear played at a basketball game you should not listen to for entertainment. they are strictly for pumping you up. there are a few exceptions however. i think this bro is one of them. i am a big fan of reggea and hip hop, so this is a good blend. however, i dont listen to pop artists. almost anything you hear on the radio is pop. i hear this on the radio. i am undecided on this guy, but his songs are for sure upbeat and make your head bob, but they are dance songs, which means that it might not be real hip hop. i wish i could hear more of his lyrics, but despite the amount of time i spend around people in the islands, when they sing, very rarely can i undestand them. his voice is pretty cool though. here we go, i have just wasted 180 seconds of my life, and have told you nothing in this review. i am a failure and totally undecided if i want to listen to SP.

The songs I have listened to i love!! Baby boy and get Busy are my fav!! idk about his other songs on this but those i would reccomend and if u r like me u didnt want to buy an explict song well get busy shouldne\t be explict the worst thing is the chorus when it says sexy lady want to... so the sexy ladies i guess is y they rated it explict!! i would reccomend those 2 songs

I just decided to listen to this album on here real quick to remind myself of some party days late in college. Some of the tracks on this album will ALWAYS be classics!!!!!! Some of you do not realize the era, and won't understand what Sean Paul did back then. U were guaranteed a good nighT if you knew how to dance, or the right thing to say to a chick during "Get Busy" or "I'm still in love".
