iTunes Review
When Young Dro’s “Shoulder Lean” became a radio smash in the wake of the massive success achieved by T.I.’s King, most fans assumed Dro was a second-stringer from Tip’s clique in line to cash in on his boss’ phenomenal success, not realizing that when the two first met in the late ‘90s, T.I. was more interested in managing Dro than putting out his own music. Even though there is enough gangsta swagger and strip club bounce to place Best Thang Smokin’ next to records by Young Jeezy and T.I., the album’s crunk pedigree disguises a streak of imaginative wordplay that has more in common with rap eccentrics like Kool Keith and Ghostface. On “Shoulder Lean,” Dro is a free-associative fiend. “Kids love the ice colors are Barney and Teletubbies / Chrome dubbies diamonds in our charms are sour / Apple green Jolly Ranch icon paint the Tahoe Snapple / Juice fruit this what Drizzle used to.” Finally, the splendorous car culture of the Deep South is painted in words that bring to life its brilliant colors.

I think The Game said it best...
The Game described Young Dro, Yung Joc, Dem Francize Boyz, and the like. Turn on the TV, and all you see is the A. You n****z better make up a dance to get radio play Keep on snappin' ya fingers, I aint goin away I dont regret what I spit, cuz I know what I say -----The Game 'One Blood' REALEST BAR IVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE But honestly, Young Dro is whack, but not as whack as some of the others out.Yung Joc makes this guy look like KRS-One.He is wayyyyy better than other Dirrty South mainstream rappers, but still not really good at all.Shoulder Lean was catchy, but wasnt good. All he did was make up a dance to get radio play. However, T.I. is a very talented rapper, so the songs with him are better. If u like crap rap, id get this hes better than most other crap rappers. But please go and buy something real thta dropped today, like Method Mans new CD or The Roots new CD
Young Who???
Alright, this is how I see it as... Nowadays, the only reason why people listen to "rap" songs is because of the beat. If the beat isn't good, then you wouldn't listen to the song, am I right? And then if you think the beat is good, then automatically you think the song is good. Well the truth is, most songs that people listen to nowadays have terrible lyrics. If you don't believe me, then go on any lyrics website and find the lyrics to a new song that you think is good, and read the lyrics. Then you'd understand what I mean. I'm not saying that all songs suck because they have a good beat but bad lyrics, but MOST songs do. For an example... that Chain Hang Low song; the beat is tight, but the lyrics are probly the worst I've ever heard. Probably worse than those of Laffy Taffy. But anyways... what I'm saying is, if you like songs with bangin' beats, then this CD is for you. But if you like to listen to songs that actually make sense, then (like most people), you would think this CD is garbage. But, hey, I'm not trying to make you hate songs, I'm just another ordinary person who writes customer reviews on iTunes.
