The Campfire
Kurt Vile's music is the lone campfire aglow on the otherwise dark and desolate continent of my soul. I love this music, with its piled layers of masterful acoustic-guitarwork and the sing-whispered lyrics of a diffident voice crafting tender, clever quips out of simple notions about life. This is the most enjoyable album (the March-issued original and the late-blooming complement I'm currently reviewing) I have purchased in years.
Good Melodies
I like the way he works with his songs. They all sound very real and unique unlike some overproduced albums of late. Keep it coming Kurt!
