When Avicii unveiled a full folk band to perform the bluegrass-tinted cut “Wake Me Up” featuring Aloe Blacc at a massive Miami gig, the song was met with skepticism. But as the single raced up international pop charts and set the tone for his earnest and idealistic second album, True, Avicii was vindicated. To simply call him a DJ, a producer, or a remixer would be a misnomer; he’s actually a pop composer, commanding huge, unabashedly uplifting melodies set to mainstream dance tracks, with nary a sample or interpolation in sight. Adam Lambert and Nile Rodgers give “Lay Me Down” a slinky ’70s vibe, destined for two-stepping platform dancing shoes around the world. Meanwhile, unexpected cameos like Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger, Oklahoma’s Audra Mae (“Addicted to You”), and the revered bluegrass artist Dan Tyminski (“Hey Brother”) succeed in Avicii’s ambitious vision: making a viable folk-flavored EDM album.

Adam Lambert's crazy vocals brought me here. I can hardly wait to hear a clean, studio version. That guy can really sing!! He's so humble to admit but he is truly the best male performer out there

Okay first off, are you going to be listening to a album cover or will the album cover change the experience of the album for you.......? If so just go listen to one direction!!!!! Lol NOW....... Avicii you are going to change EDM forever come September 17th. You are going to start a whole new style of EDM. I think what Avicii is doing is something never did before, creating songs with this 'something' that make them awesome!…What HE does, I think nobody can make it..!! it makes u feel the MUSIC what it really is…I mean, something is sing with all ur volume in the room because you like the song and other is feel the music and make urself believe ur flying cause you actually EXPERIENCE the song, cause you actually FEEL the song, cause you actually LOVE the song..and that kind of songs are the ones AVICII makes!
