Editors’ Notes

Packed with synth-driven throwback grooves (“Restart”), falsetto-adorned soul-pop (“Money on My Mind”), and epic ballads (some created with Adele collaborators Eg White and Fraser T. Smith) this album is accessible and instantly memorable. Although Smith shines when the songs are brisk or doleful, it’s the midtempo numbers—“I’m Not the Only One” and gospel-inflected “Stay with Me”—where his finely tuned phrasing and velvet falsetto inspire chills.

Customer Reviews

Oh. My. God.

This guy is AMAZING.

Truly Inspirational

Sam’s songs nothing short of magnificent. I commend him not only for his astounding vocal control, power, and dynamic, but also for creating pop music that is soulful and is in no way generic.

This boy's voice is like an angel

This boy's voice is like honey dripping down the side of a stone turned silky smooth by the gentle caress of the bubbling sea. His voice is like angel kisses dancing on warm wind blowing across the world after a violent rainstorm. His voice is like the rumble of thunder far off in the distance, stirring the love and warmth within you. His voice is as smooth as the legs on that girl from the razor commercial. Or as smooth as the silken sheets on the bed of a powerful king from some far off Asian land. Seriously guys, his voice is perfect.
